The Mirror

Who gets to decide the stories we tell? And what can we do to resist this?

Sam Holcroft’s The Mirror is an explosive, chameleonic play that constantly shifts beneath our feet, reminding us of the inexorable struggle between censorship and artistic expression, the importance of representing truth and the threat of going against the system. Incisive, thrilling, urgent and essential. Beautifully acted with outstanding turns by Ghafir Akbar and Andrew Marko.

Tracie Pang has given us 16 years of incredible theatre at Pangdemonium and her final directorial credit for the company is no exception.

The Crystalwords score: 4/5
